Mid-Winter Stats

By Mike Blake, 12 January, 2020

Here are some mid-winter status for you to digest (yes, I do not like winter and get bored).

Since the inception of the Sam Leman Everbloom Tournament Trail in 2003, there have been 141 events. That's correct ... I have recorded weights and took photos ... Karen has uploaded the results ... and Terry has weighed and bumped fish 141 times!

After a review of all the results, I offer these interesting insights:

Largest total weight at one event:

  • Lake Bloomington, July 22, 2017
    182.59 lbs
  • Lake Evergreen, June 15, 2019
    259.62 lbs

Largest team bag for one event:

  • Lake Bloomington, August 13, 2010
    Brian Bounds/John Warmbir
    22.97 lbs
  • Lake Evergreen, May 13, 2006
    Tim Fauth/Scott Anderson
    21.92 lbs
(Second place that tournament was Fred Myers/Ken Petersen with 21.59 lbs ... ouch!)

For those of you that come to the truck window hoping to draw boat #1, it has only won 5 times. You would be better off hoping to draw boat #3, which came in first 10 times.

For those teams that draw unlucky boat #13 (and throw the chip at me), it has won the second most 9 times. Stop griping when you draw it!

The complete list of wins by boat number is listed below:
