Big Bass Bonanza at Lake Evergreen
Great fishing means great weigh ins and Stop 4 of the Strike King Ever-Bloom Tournament Trail was no exception. Docktalk before the event as a result of pre-fishing talked of 20 lb bags and big fish.
Comlara Lake Fest included our weigh in as part of the festivities and although the weights did not meet the estimated forecasts it was still exceptional. This lake continues to produce quality catches, big bass and the weather was exceptional.
Ron Bristow and Jim Sherman took top honors fishing points and coves with jigs, crankbaits and creature baits. They had a 5 fish limit that weighed 17.04 lbs and the Mossy Oak Big Bass of 4.76 lbs. Congrats guys and show up at Lake Bloomington!!!
In second place were stellar performers Scott Bree and AJ Bailey with 5 fish weighing 15.9 and big bass of 4.01. They caught their bass fishing wood in six mile creek.
Dusty Whitacre and Bryan Estes took the first out of the money Setyr Rods but actually would have taken second had it not been for the untimely death of a 5 lber that cost them a 1 lb penalty. They had 5 bass weighing a very respectable 15.15 and a 3.87 big bass.
Ron Long and Larry Andress took home the Strike King Top to Bottom Award for 4th place of 13.24 lbs. They had a big bass of 3.92 lbs.
There were 46 bass brought to the scales weighing a respectable 128.24 lbs. That is a 2.79 lb average fish. WOW.
The next event is June 24th on Lake Bloomington. Please let us know by emailing either Mike or Terry if you plan on attending.
