Not Much of a Slugfest
The final Strike King Ever-Bloom event at Lake Bloomington on August 19 was anything but a slugfest but Dusty Whitacre and Bryan Estes proved that persistance and grinding all day does pay off. The duo finished the day with the only 5 bass limit that weighed a respectible 11.56 pounds to win. They bettered the team of Larry Andris and Ron Long who weighed 3 fish at 8.86 lbs.
Fred Myers and Ken Petersen finished 3rd with 3 fish at 6.78 lbs. They won the Setyr Rods first out of the money award of two premier 7 foot casting rods.
In fourth place were Jerry Martoglio and Loren Peters with 2 fish at 5.24 lbs. They won the Strike King Top to Bottom paks.
Allot was on the line at this event including the Terminator Heavy Weight of the Year and Mossy Oak Big Bass of the Year. The final stats are in and the team of Fred Myers and Ken Petersen won the Terminator Heavy Weight of the Year with 61.70 lbs. Estes and Whitacre finished second with 59.88 lbs. Myers and Petersen will receive a clothing package from Terminator Lures.
The Mossy Oak Big Bass of the Year was won by Jamie Maisenbacker and Guido Didonato with a 6.19 lb bass. They each will recieve a one year sponsorship deal from Mossy Oak.
The Strike King Classic will be October 28 and 29th and we will be sending out information as we get closer to that date. Continue to watch the website for information as well.
Thanks to all for fishing the trail.
